Within his criminal practice, Justin Kötter has developed into a specialist in large and complex criminal cases. His focus is on cases in which clients are suspected of violent and life crimes, as well as serious sex offenses. In vice cases, he regularly appears as an expert in the media, and fellow lawyers know how to find him for complex vice cases.

Justin Kötter's experience ranges from proceedings at the District Court and the Court of Appeal to cassation cases at the Supreme Court of the Netherlands.
